This project was a complete new house design on the side of Mount Louisa. It was a rather complex and challenging design given the steep slope of the block, however with close consultation in the design phase with the client we were able to get a design that worked perfectly for the site, achieving all the outcomes the client wanted. The design incorporated two storeys at the front and then became single storey at the rear due to the terrain. The ground floor consisted of a double lock up garage, workshop, and large entry foyer, while the first floor accommodated four bedrooms, activity room, kitchen and living areas, and two large decks. This house was a 2013 award winning home by the Master Builders Association for ‘Best House for Sloping Site up to $425,000’, and with its great location and design it is an understandable winner.
